Okay, I see you started something and somewhere in the midle you got mixed fellings about it. No worries. The resemblance to Angelina is quite good. This means you already got the likeness department covered.
The mixed media really wasn't the best choice. In order to obtain darker shades you don't need to use any pencil higher than 3B, much less to use a pen. A sharpened 2B usually gets pretty dark shading. 3B is softer and darker but amazingly can produce a skintone much more softer then any H pencil. Blend a bit more your shadows. Avoid also the use of low quality rubbers. Buy a bluetack or a cheaper white rubber. Don't use your fingers to blur or mix pencil. Use a cheesecloth or paper tissue.
Last but not least, learn from your experience. Don't be affraid to make mistakes. If you fall in love with a photo and you want to give it a shot, don't give up. If you ruin it start all over a couple of days later. DOn't let bad criticism trow you down.

Q:Why I gave myself such trouble?
A: Because I recognize potential when I find one.

What kind of pencil shall I use?
2B or not 2B?
tnx so much for your comment, i appreciate such comments very much. Have to say that the 6B pencil was only used in powder and i used to make the pencil marks of the dark places (that were done with 3B) disappear. I also used the charcoal on those places so the color is more uniform. I only use the black pen for certain small details, here (and it cannot be appreciated) i used it for the eyelashes, the pupil and the iris, it's a special black pen for drawing so it cannot be noticed it's a pen . I never use my fingers to blur or mix the pencil, i always use a paper tissue or cotton. So, basically, i should explain a bit better how i use the mediums i use and why . Tnx again for your comment.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
